“I have been in the business of buying and selling antique rugs for over thirty years (since 1980). Antique rugs and carpets are my passion and my tastes are quite eclectic. My taste varies based on the merits of each individual rug – ranging from early, classical pieces to Art Deco and Modernist rugs. What matters to me primarily is the beauty and quality of a piece. I buy with my eye and with my heart. Living in New York, the Mecca of the rug world, and traveling extensively, I have the opportunity to search constantly for the best pieces that are available. My wide experience and contacts in the rug world enable me to buy competitively, to acquire quality pieces for the best value, and to pass this value along to our customers. My goal at Nazmiyal is to give our clients the finest rugs with greatest range of choices at the best value.”

“As general manager of the Nazmiyal Collection, since 2001, I have been striving to make sure that the customer is our primary consideration. However important the rug may be, the customer should always comes first. It is my job to find out what our customers need and to see that those needs are met to the highest professional standards. In achieving this goal, I am doing my best to assure that the greatest attention is paid to the smallest of details. Nothing makes me happier than seeing our clients find the rug that is right for them. Seeing the joy on a clients face is the greatest reward”.
