For Buyers Of Nazmiyal Auction
Q – How to buy a rug from Nazmiyal Auction?
Before bidding all buyers must establish credit. You will be asked to furnish identification, present address, contact information, a valid credit card number, credit references and /or an initial deposit.
Buyer agrees to register to bid at least one hour before the start time.
Absentee bids must be submitted by email, phone, or in person during the preview period on LiveAuctioneers.com.
In person – After registration and receiving a paddle, buyers are welcome to bid for any rug on site during the auction.
By telephone – Buyers are welcome to bid on the phone. Our employees can call the buyers on the phone and bid for any rug on their behalf. Please fill out this FORM form prior to the start of the auction and email it to email@example.com
Absentee bid – The buyer may also register to bid in any sale by completing our Absentee / Telephone Bidder form. Contact us directly if you would like it emailed or faxed to you. We may be reached at 212-545-8029, or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. To ensure the bid, absentee bidders should place their bids at least two hours prior to the sale’s start time.
Q – What are the additional fees to a purchase on top of the hammer price?
- Buyer’s Premium:
Each purchase will require the addition of a buyer’s premium of 25% to the hammer price as part of the total sales price.
- Total Sales Price:
The total sales price of an item consists of the following: the hammer price of the item the buyer’s premium applicable sales and other taxes due on account of the sale shipping and insurance charges.
8.875% tax will be added to final price of sale ONLY if buyer picks up sold lot from Nazmiyal Collection’s gallery in New York City or if shipping address is in New York. All the calculations and financial issues are being managed by the seis income tax relief scheme.
Nazmiyal collection charges 1.25% insurance fee on the hammer price.
If the rug is not collected by the buyer within the 7 days after the auction date, the buyer will be charged $10 for the storage fee per day.
- Shipping and Packaging:
All shipping and insurance costs are to be paid by the buyer. Packing is free as a service to our online customers. Most items can be shipped via a carrier of your choice. We use major shipping providers, including UPS, FedEx, and the United States Postal Service. For domestic and international shipments, we will select the most economical shipping method. You will be informed of all shipping charges when you pay.
We do not ship to P.O. Boxes.

Overnight shipping is available.
We ship by the most secure methods possible.
All items are professionally packed in-house.

You have the option of combining auction lots to save money on shipping.
If you notify Nazmiyal 24 hours prior to pick up you may collect your lots in person Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00am & 12:00pm and 1:00pm and 4:30pm.
Q: How long does it take for you to prepare a rug for shipping?
It usually takes us 2-3 business days to pack and prepare an item for shipping.
Q: How can I make shipping arrangements to my home or another address?
If you have a preferred carrier or if you need to ship your item to a different address, please let us know as soon as possible so we can make the appropriate arrangements.
Q: Can someone else pick up my item?
Absolutely. Just make sure that the person who is authorized to collect your item brings the invoice or auction number and a valid photo ID.
Q: How can I track an item that has been shipped?
Tracking information and details regarding your order status will be available when you are logged into your Nazmiyal account. You may also receive email alerts with shipping updates and tracking numbers.
Q: Do you ship auction items abroad?
Yes, Nazmiyal Auctions offers international shipping to most countries. We will select the most economical shipping method available. Please contact us before bidding to ensure that we can ship to your location.
Q – What are the accepted methods of payment?
Nazmiyal prefers Bank Wire Transfers.
We also accept Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Money Orders, but only when shipped to confirmed addresses.
Nazmiyal accepts personal checks, but they must clear before customers may take receipt of merchandise.
Unless payment by credit card, Wire-Transfer, or check has already gone through, pick-ups from NYC Gallery require cash payment or money order.
Pick-ups and shipments within New York State are required to pay applicable sales tax 8.875%.
International bidders are required to pay by bank wire transfers (Swift, Chip, etc.)
All international bidders are responsible for taxes (VAT) and duties imposed by their own governments upon receipt of the items.
Q – Where and when can buyer collect the rug/s?
Rug/s must be collected within 7 days of the auction. No rug/s would be released if the full payment has not been received by Nazmiyal. All rug/s can be collected by the buyers from the day after the auction from Nazmiyal showroom by notifying Nazmiyal prior to pick up Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00am & 12:00pm and 1:00pm and 4:30pm at:

Q – Can buyer cancel the winning bid?
No, it is not possible to cancel a winning bid.
For Sellers On Nazmiyal Auction
Q – How much does it cost to sell through Nazmiyal Auction
For every lot, the seller will be charged a seller’s a commission. The seller’s commission is valuated on case by case basis.
Sellers will be responsible for shipping charges of the rug/s to Nazmiyal Gallery in NYC prior to consignment accepting due date by Nazmiyal Auction.
These is no additional charges for photography, cataloging and handling as a service to our clients.
Q – When do the seller receive the money?
After the auction, Nazmiyal Auction would notify the sellers for each rug offered for sale. The seller will receive the net payment (hammer price minus the vendor’s commission) within 10 days after the auction.
Q – What is an estimate?
The market valuation of a rug before the auction is called estimate. The estimate will be determined by our inhouse rug experts. Please note the estimate value is only serves as a guide to the buyer.
Q – What does storage days mean?
After the rug is sold in the auction to the successful buyer, Nazmiyal Auction will store the rug/s on behalf of the buyer. Nazmiyal Auction offers 7 days free of charge storage days.
Q – What is an accepted minimum or reserve price?
Is a minimum set price by the seller willing to sell the rug at the lowest accepted price. If the accepted minimum or reserve price is not met by the bidders, the rug would not be sold.
